Welding Technology![]() Good eye-hand coordination can help to develop the precision needed for the welding industry. Students learn to use oxyacetylene and electric arc/air torches for cutting and welding, as well as other techniques such as TIG, MIG, and shielded metal arc. Blueprint interpretation and metal fabrication are other important skills learned. Upon completion of the two-year Welding program, students can be classified as Entry Level Welders according to industry-recognized AWS SENSE certification. These highly skilled graduates are in demand in most industrial settings, including welding shops, manufacturing companies and heavy construction firms.
