Career Education Programs - Career Clusters
Cosmetology Graduates of this program take a licensing exam in Columbus and become highly sought after by area beauty salons. This is a two-year program which calls for perfect attendance in order to meet the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology training requirement of 1500 hours. Many hours of practice are required to perform a variety of customer services such as hairstyling, manicures and facials. Students in this program learn scientific principles involved in the care of hair, skin and nails. The Cosmetology curriculum includes anatomy, chemistry and specific skill topics such as permanent waving and chemical relaxing.
