Automotive YES![]() The Career Education Automotive Youth Education Systems (AYES) program prepares students to repair and maintain today’s complicated automobiles. Students will learn to diagnose and repair engines, troubleshoot complicated electrical systems and use a computer to analyze computer command control modules. The AYES program includes summer mentorships in local automobile dealerships. Students receive a balanced mix of course work to meet high school academic graduation requirements, along with applied math and science and all of the technical coursework and hands-on training needed to meet the high expectations of this trade. Technical instruction emphasizes an understanding of modern automotive computer systems, as well as engine, fuel, electrical, cooling, brake, drive train and suspension. There will be a heavy emphasis on electronics. Graduates of the AYES program will be prepared for ASE industry certification.
