Construction Training

Basic construction terminology and theory, blueprint reading, safe use of portable and stationary power tools are covered in the related classroom. During lab students will be instructed on the basic skills necessary for the construction trades. Topics covered include: hand and power tool operation, construction safety, layout and assembly of framing members, installation of interior and exterior finishes, basic electrical and plumbing, roofing applications, and drawing blueprints using computer programs.
